Hello all,
I have a plenty of shoes in my rack. Most (and all) of them are sport shoes. I have never worn any heeled shoes. But suddenly I have jumped to wear high heeled shoes. Not everyone could try this. I dont think it would create any problem because being a sport person myself, have worn many varieties of shoes.
It is function time now. I have a function coming up and i have never worn high shoes in my life. But still the person who has never made a mistake, will be the one who has never tried anything new in his lifetime.I am not arrogant, but I would like to wear as much of my friends are coming there.
However i am determined to wear some and i have bought invisible gel pads to go on the shoe to make it easier. Are there any other tricks to making, walking, etc easier?
practice practice practice!!!
Practice makes perfect!
Try wearing the shoes around the house for a couple of days before your event.
Good luck!
Practice walking. I remember walking in my first high heel shoes. I looked hilarious. don’t take to big of steps. alittle bit smaller then you would usually take
It’s true that its about practice, but some shoes will NEVER break in, because they’re there to look pretty.
Plan ahead. If you’re going to wear it the next day, then put it on for about twenty minutes the day before and walk around. Take off the shoes and wherever it’s sore, put on a bandaid and sleep with it. I know it sounds stupid, but the next day, take off the bandaid and that spot should be easier. Soak your feet after wearing the heels and try to find shoes that are pretty, and easy to wear. Best option in my opinion.
Wear your shoes inside and practice every chance you get. Even while your just cleaning your house – this is to get used to them.
Make sure your back is straight (don’t lean backward or forward or hunch…)
When you walk, make sure your legs are close together (no duck walking).
Your weight should be in your hips (not in your knees), try to keep your knees a bit straight too – just don’t bend too much.
Stretch before your wear them.
practice makes perfect. if you dont have time then simply dont be scared! if you are scared of the heel it will be scaried of you! l0l start out with a small heel and work yourself up! dont slouge either… believe it or not it WILL effect your feet. but also dont be a flat board. stay natural and be confident!! good luck!! much love, your awesome friend
Here’s the trick with walking in heels- you don’t walk with your whole foot. You walk on your toes! You don’t let you heels go down first, like you normally would.
Also, aviod wearing the shoes until you have to. Don’t wear them until you are there, not even in the car. If you are sitting at the table a lot or something, slip them off. (WARNING- Wash you feet thoroughly before the big event to prevent foot odor) Also, if you are going to be dancing a lot, bring flats for dancefloor!
Take small steps!
Have fun!
walk around in them while you are at home. go up and down stairs in them as well, so you don’t fall the first time you try it at your event. make sure the shoes fit, if they don’t they will not be easy to walk in. if you find your heel slipping, many places sell grips that go in the heel of your shoe to prevent that from happening. bandaids are also good to use to make your shoe more comfortable. if you find that you are getting blisters, you will deffinetly want to wear some bandaids to prevent that from happening
Ya correct practice is must. Then high heel shoes are very danger because if you once slip down then you will get bad injury.so better you can wear ordinary shoes. Thanks for your useful information about shoes practice.
